Ian Chamberlain

Born into a musical family, he played the trumpet from an early age until he was 13 when he heard the Rolling Stones for the first time. This was the beginning of a lifetime affair with the guitar. He soon started playing guitar with school bands, then with working cover bands after leaving school. It wasn’t long before he was lead guitar in alternative rock bands such as Brand X, Tobias and Dave's B3, playing improvised and original music. He also studied at the Conservatorium of Music, Sydney Australia.

His musical career has often played second fiddle to the pursuit of other creative media such as visual art, photography and graphic design. These days however he is totally focused on music. He is working on a series of albums featuring new work and some re-arrangements of early compositions.
